The world is full of 'hard' hearts,
Hearts that are hard as stone,
And when out comes ONE soft heart,
He finds himself all alone.

They all believe you must be hard enough,
To survive in this place at all,
But who, then, will be soft enough,
To cushion a hard one's fall?

NO, this land does not need hard-hearted people,
But needs the gentle and meek,
For your anger may make your own heart hard,
But only the others the LORD will seek.
